Peliminary Task Evaluation

I have created my front cover and contents page. My front cover has changed slightly from when I created my designs. I have re arranged the layout but I haven’t changed the images I have used. My front cover is very attractive with the main story taking up most of the page. I only have one photo on my front cover to make it stand out. The text is black and grey so it is bold for everyone to read. I have added a sun in the corner to make the front look more attractive. I haven’t faded the logo so that the picture is clear and will clearly show the reader what my magazine would be about. My contents page is simple and effective. The big, bold title drags the attention of the readers. Having my articles and stories separated away from each other makes it is easy to understand and I still can manage to have an image on my contents page. Having the page numbers big always helps for people to understand and know exactly what page they are want to go to. I have the text in black this colour contrasts to the background and therefore stands out. I decided to use the same images as I used in my front cover as the background but this time I faded the image slightly to that the text was even clearer. The image shows sixth formers in there uniform (smart dress). So I think this fits in very well with the weekly issue. The image of my front cover and contents page would depend on the different stories each week.
